Pastor Tim Loomis was born in Midland, Michigan. He was raised in a strong Christian home and at the age of 13 gave his heart to Jesus. After high school Tim went to trade school and then felt led to go to Bible School. Coming from a musical family, Tim felt music to be the area he should pursue and graduated from Union Bible College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree. During his years there Tim met and married the love of his life, his wonderful wife of 31 years, Beverly. Tim and Beverly have been blessed with 3 wonderful children, Blake, Drew and Brianna. Blake will soon be moving to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a Master’s Degree. Drew and his lovely wife Kayla have both finished college and live in Colorado Springs. Brianna will graduate in 2017 from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
Tim and Beverly have always been involved in church, most of the time on a volunteer basis. Tim worked for 25 years at Garr Tool Company in Alma, Michigan. During that time built the family a home and had a small construction business on the side. But about 8 years ago, God began to speak to Tim and whisper that he wanted him to be a pastor. Finally in 2011, Tim was able to go back to college and in 2013 graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary with a Masters of Ministry Studies degree. God has led Tim and Beverly to Mt. Gilead and they are excited to see what God has in store!
Tim’s favorite things are spending time with Beverly, watching football, hunting, fishing and working with wood. He loves to study God’s Word and loves contemporary Christian music. He loves to laugh and humor in general.
One blight upon Tim is that he is a University of Michigan Fan. But Mt Gilead can only hope that time will heal him! (He says, “Probably not!”)
